Karachi, March 14: DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy) is an exclusive sporting arena of the metropolis located in DHA Phase-VIII which provides exciting sports, recreational and coaching facilities in cricket and various other sports for vibrant growth of youth. In this connection, Moin Khan Cricket Academy undertook a proactive/dynamic initiative by arranging a visit of a delegation comprising selected students of Moin Khan Academy along with their coach to UAE to witness PSL matches besides arranging some recreational cum sports activities for them in Sharjah/Dubai.
Meetings were arranged with various international cricket super stars for the young sports players in which they discussed and learnt modern cricket techniques and also got useful practical tips and advices for developing their temperament and skills for the magnificent game of cricket.
The cricket legends who met the students included Mr Kevin Pieterson of UK, Mr Waseem Akram, Mr Rilee Rossouw of South Africa, Mr Tymal Mills of UK, Mr Anwar Ali, Mr Abdur Razzaq, Mr Umar Gul and Mr Luke Wright from UK. All these experienced players encouraged the youngsters and inspired them to work with dexterity and sincerity of purpose to make a place for them in the glorious world of cricket.
Students were greatly inspired and benefitted tremendously from the visit. It gave them a new vision, spark and confidence to play cricket in a seasoned and professional manner. The students had a wonderful international exposure as well and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the visit. Fascinating entertainment, recreational and sightseeing activities were also part of the itinerary. The students were taken to Desert Safari in Dubai where they enjoyed a lot. Legendary cricketer Mr Moin Khan and his wife also joined the group and interacted with the young cricketers which added to their joy and made it a memorable occasion.
The students returned back to Pakistan happily and in boisterous mood. The excellent visit was not only a meaningful, pragmatic and entertaining experience for the youth but also greatly helped in motivating and inspiring them to channelize their energizes in constructive, progressive and dynamic activities.
